Capes...

More details on the capes... each one has the childs initials on the cape making it theirs.

All the capes are reversible and can be worn with the superhero symbol showing or the lining showing. These are the lining on the boys capes...
And the lining on the girls capes...

Christian's Birthday stuff...

Almost all of the boy capes are done now... I need to finish the girl capes still.
All my plans are the same except for a few changes I made to the invites and certificates. I redid the invites and certificates to include comic book font. We also decided that he will have Dirt for his cake instead of a traditional cake. Like pudding, oreo, and gummy worm stuff ... not real Dirt. We will put it in bright colored buckets and serve it with shovels.
Here are the changes I made...

I decided I liked the comic book font and when it came to his invites when I printed them they looked really small, so I changed the info at the bottom to be larger and more legible.
These are a 'proto-type' for Christian's birthday. I hate goody bags and he is to young for writing his own thank you notes so these will serve as both. I used one of Dustin Pikes images (the super dragon) on the front.

What it looks like before printed. I found these work really well if I print them 5x7.

Superhero party...

So I'm getting ready for Christian's Superhero party next month. My big job is getting all the capes put together for all the little ones 6 and under who are attending. The older ones can play football or tennis. The birthday is themed around Superhero Training. The kids will receive their capes when they receive their invitations.
My party plan: When kids arrive at the party they will make superhero masks. We will give kids about 30min to make their masks and arrive and then we will start the training. Training includes a over & under relay, web blasting, and pass the kryptonite. I will have certificates printed for the kids and they will have a little "graduation" ceremony after the training. We will then sing happy birthday and present Christian with his cake and everyone can eat. I'm praying the weather will be nice enough for us to keep the party outside and Todd can grill.
Here are some "previews" of the capes and invitations.
