Liberty's Legwarmers!

Got some novelty knee socks at Joann's for about $3. I cut off the foot and stitched them up so now they are booties (for myself) and legwarmers (for Liberty). I bet this would work for the other kids too! Took less than 5 min. (well... maybe 8 if you count how long it takes me to pick out thread and thread the sewing machine)

Thursday!!

Hubby got up with us today and made us eggs and bacon for breakfast! It was super sweet being as he didn't even get off work until 1am last night!
Did Madison's hair in a head band ponytail thing... another idea swiped from http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/. I just love her creativity.
Sent her off to school and dashed back to comment on http://www.mypinkstamper.com/! Chance for a free Batman cartridge today! How perfect would that be! Especially since Christian's B-day is coming up and we decided on a Super Hero theme!
Took the little ones to library for story time. Curious George theme today... they made Curious George toilet paper rolls for craft.
We have Girl Scouts tonight and the girls will be making bottle top magnets for their cookie customers... because Cookie Customers are "tops"!

Putting everything in one place....

Some of my sewing stuff...

Pillowcase style shirts

I used the pillowcase dress pattern and made two little shirt/dresses for the girls from some fabric I had stashed in my fabric box.

another skirt

On this skirt I used 3 yards of the tulle. 1 yard of pink, 1 yard of dark pink, and 1 yard of yellow. This picture is before I trimmed the bottom. I like to trim them up to make the ends even.

Princess skirts

I cut tulle into strips. I choose purple and white for this one. I then tied each piece to an a piece of elastic that I had previously sewed together to make a waist band.

I continued to tie all the pieces onto the elastic in a pattern until I used everything that I had cut. I am hoping that these will be worn to by the girls to Disney World when we visit magic kingdom. I think they will be adorable over their normal clothes and when paired with a tiara, they will make them look like pretty princesses.

Pillowcase dress

I have seen "pillowcase dresses" in boutique stores and figured I would try my hand at making them. I plan on making more of these with some pillowcases that were hand embroidered by my husbands grandmother.

I also created a night gown with a cheese sack that my husbands grandmother hand painted. It turned out fairly well, and since the cheese sack was so long, I had enough fabric to create the cute little sleeves.

For the nightgown sleeves... I used 2 long strips for each sleeve. First I made the ruffled part by folding the fabric ever so slightly and stitching it down the length of the fabric. I then sewed it to another long strip of fabric. when I was done making the sleeves, I sewed it to the nightgown. For the nightgown part, I just cut the top off of the pillowcase and then folded it over and stitched it down so that I could still feed elastic through it.

FOR THE HORDE

So our guild had a successful FOR THE HORDE run last night.

Organizing the groups:

In group 1: I had the Main Tank and 2 healers for him
In group 2: I had 2 off Tanks and 2 healers - one for each of them
In group 3,4,5, and 6: I put all the PVE spec'd DPS with a few healers
In group 7 and 8: I put all the PVP spec'd DPS with a few healers

The last 2 groups watched our butts :P and took down any resistance from alliance players trying to protect their cities.

Our Game Plan:

We started with Ironforge. I had everyone meet in Org and had mages put up ports to stonard. Everyone flew to the badlands where we all ran up to Ironforge. King Magni Bronzebeard is located near 40.54. After we killed bronzebeared we headed for the tram.
This is where we had our one slip up... MAKE SURE YOU RAISE YOUR DEAD. A few people got left behind here.

The Tram will take you straight to Stormwind. King is located near 80.38. For this guy we had the MT fight the boss in the room to the west. and groups 7 and 8 watched the door and fought off the 80's rushing to save their king. After the boss went down, we opened ports to OG, people hearthed, to rez sickness... and made their way to ashenvale. We had a warlock open a summoning stone and we summoned everyone.

From Ashenvale we ran up to the alliance city where the long wash is, I can't remember the name of it... but it is where all the boats are on that long dock over in darkshore. We took the boat on the right of the dock to Darnassus. DO NOT TRY TO RUN WITH PATH OF FROST! You will die... and then you have a mess of trying to get everyone back together. Ready check on the dock and take the purple portal into the city. After boss which is near 38.78 rez the dead and head back to the boats.

Finally is Exodar... the boat is the one on the very end of the long wash. I think the boss is near 21.44 but I can't remember exactly... I do know that if you go in the side door and down the ramp, the boss is directly behind the ramp up some stairs. He is a prophet. We killed him opened ports to dal and everyone went to check their mail. We have a bunch of proud new owners of the Black War Bear.

We had a very successful run... meet some resistance in stormwind, probably because they knew we were in ironforge. But our PVP people in the last 2 groups pwned them. We did the raid at 10PM server time on a friday night.
